Valoris Avocats advises Biotope in its integration of BioConsult

Biotope, a French consulting firm, has acquired 27% of BioConsult SH, a leading German firm specialising in ecological issues, and of the British company HiDef Aerial Surveying, which specialises in high-resolution digital aerial surveys of marine fauna. The three companies, which have been working together for many years, now form a group of almost 800 employees.

The creation of this alliance will enable the coordination of skills and technologies, particularly for the study of birds and marine mammals in the context of monitoring the impact of offshore wind farms. In this field, the long experience of HiDef and BioConsult SH, for the monitoring of offshore wind farms in the North Sea, but also for export to Australia, the United States and South America, will be invaluable to Biotope.

Valoris Avocats, in collaboration with the German law firm Ebner Stolz, assisted the Biotope group in structuring the transaction, as well as in the negotiation and drafting of the contractual documentation.
